Chicago Therapeutic Children’s Academy (CTCA) is a state-of-the-art therapeutic school readiness program. At CTCA, we see children as early as 18 months old. All our students are taught in a dynamic environment that we specially cultivated to promote each child’s development across a variety of domains.

Our evidence-based curriculum is both stimulating and individualized to each student. With them we will focus on areas such as reading, math, writing, and science. 1. We offer 4 Services under one roof! Occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy are all offered during, before, and after the school day. These services are provided in both group and individual settings, depending on each child’s individual needs. Upon enrollment into CTCA, each child is assessed. Then a carefully crafted schedule is developed in order to address the child’s needs and goals.
2. Small Classes allow for ongoing and thorough support for every student. Each of our classes at CTCA is limited to 6 children, and we have a low student to teacher ratio of 2:1. This means that our wonderful teachers can direct greater support and attention towards each student, to help them reach their goals more efficiently.
3. Our highly Skilled Teachers have diverse backgrounds and bring classroom experience specializing in behavior therapy, early childhood education, and special education to CTCA.
4. We have Kindergarten (new for 2022-2023)! Our Kindergarten class is a full day program which is taught by a certified special ed/early childhood teacher. We combine individualized programming combining curriculum, the multidisciplinary team, and state standards to maximize each child’s potential.
5. Flexible Enrollment allows for students to jump into our program at any time of the year. During the summer months, we offer a dynamic and fun summer camp that allows for continued learning and growth between the end and beginning of the school year.
6. Curriculum Development – We use a combination of Unique Learning Systems, Handwriting without Tears, PCI Math, Touch Math, and Fundations Phonics to teach foundational academic skills to meet children where they’re at and adapt for progression and growth!
7. Our Academy is Growing and we just opened the 7,000sq ft addition just in time for the 2023 School Year. This allows for more treatment rooms, art rooms, and classrooms!
8. Our Evidenced-Based Interventions, curriculum, and therapeutic recommendations make for an incredible learning environment. It’s a welcoming environment that fully supports children and their family with reaching their maximum potential.
9. Parent Collaboration is essential for a child’s growth. Parents receive daily communication through an App which includes lesson plans and photos. Parent/Teacher conferences occur quarterly and communication occurs daily through email, phone calls, and face-to-face interactions. Parents are a part of the fun too and we host quarterly events for families to connect and meet one another.
10. Transition Planning, we are here to help you plan for the future after early childhood. We will assist you and your child with a school tours, placements, and advocate for your child to meet the individual goals
11. We Have FUN! Our staff knows that learning should be motivating and exciting. Each lesson and class are carefully planned to inspire joy and creativity within the students.
