About Us

for special needs students

Chicago Therapeutic Children’s Academy is a state of the art day school program that provides a therapeutic, enriching environment for children starting at 18 months. Our developmental school incorporates a natural classroom environment with opportunities for social play, academically challenging curriculum, developmentally appropriate skill building activities and assistance with language facilitation with both adults and peers. Our school is staffed with special education teachers and specialists as well as with speech pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, feeding therapists and behavior therapists who work within the classroom structure, all based on each child’s individual needs.

Who could benefit from our therapeutic school program?

Any child needing additional support due to limitations with language, fine motor skills, sensory integration skills, attention, behavior, physical support systems or feeding support. This may include children with developmental delays, a diagnosis of autism or ASD, cerebral palsy, behavioral disorders, sensory regulation difficulties, articulation and phonologic disorders or other physical, motor or language disorders. Portions of our therapeutic school program can be billed to insurance. To further discuss this option, please contact us at [email protected] or a (773) 780-3003.

Classroom Ratios

We match classmates based on developmental skill level. Each classroom has a maximum class size of 6 children. The teacher to student ratio in each classroom varies on need and ranges from 1:1 to 1:3, keeping our support for each child at its maximum to lead to intensive and proven results.
